Last Sunday, Upendo Foundation conducted a vibrant community outreach focused on health awareness, youth engagement, and psychosocial support. The event brought together community members in an interactive and welcoming environment designed to promote both wellness and connection.
The outreach featured HIV testing and counselling services aimed at encouraging early testing, awareness, and access to professional guidance in a safe and confidential setting. Through open conversations and supportive counselling sessions, participants were empowered with knowledge and encouraged to prioritize their health and wellbeing.
The event also included a talent show that created a lively platform for young people to express themselves through creativity, performance, and art. The atmosphere was filled with energy, confidence, and community spirit as participants showcased their unique talents.
Peer counselling sessions provided a space for meaningful conversations, emotional support, and shared experiences among attendees. These sessions helped strengthen community bonds while promoting mental wellness and positive social support systems.
To crown the day, a meet and greet session allowed participants, volunteers, and organizers to interact freely, build connections, and foster a stronger sense of community.
At Upendo Foundation, we remain committed to creating safe spaces that inspire hope, empower communities, and promote healthier futures for all.
