Members of the Wath Ong’er Community Group recently came together for a collective groundnut weeding activity as part of their ongoing commitment to sustainable agriculture and community empowerment.
The activity highlighted the importance of teamwork, consistency, and shared responsibility in community farming initiatives. By working together to maintain their groundnut farm, the group continues to strengthen food security efforts while promoting economic empowerment at the grassroots level.
Beyond improving crop health and productivity, the weeding exercise also created an opportunity for members to engage, exchange farming knowledge, and reinforce the spirit of unity that drives community-based development.
Upendo Foundation remains proud to support and walk alongside community groups such as Wath Ong’er as they continue building resilient and self-sustaining livelihoods through agriculture.
